Yeast: Wyeast Kolsch
Yeast Starter: 500ml
Batch Size: 10
Original Gravity: 1.048
Final Gravity:
Alcohol Content: %
Total Grains: 17.4lbs US
Color: 4.6
Extract Efficiency: 75 %
Hop IBU's: 20
Boiling Time: 60 minutes
Primary Fermentation: 6 days @ 68*F
Secondary Fermentation: 7 days @ 68*F
Additional Fermentation: bottle conditioned 2 weeks

Grain Bill:

11.00 lbs. Pale Malt(2-row)
3.40 lbs. Flaked Corn (Maize)
1.00 lbs. Vienna Malt
1.00 lbs. Munich Malt(light)
1.00 lbs. Crystal 20L

Hop Bill:


2.00 oz. Liberty Whole 2.90AAU's 60 min.
0.25 oz. Cascade Whole 5.75AAU's 60 min.
1.00 oz. Liberty Whole 2.90AAU's 30 min.
0.50 oz. Ultra Whole 1.70AAU's 2 min.

Mash Schedule:

add 4.68 gallons of 166*F water to mash at 150*F for 90 minutes
add 2.31 gallons of boiling water to mashout @ 168 for 10 minutes

Sparge water 176*F.

Brewers Notes:

This was a very good beer. The next time I brew it I will use more corn and less pale malt.
