Primary Fermentation: 8 days @ 70 F
Secondary Fermentation: 9 days @ 68F
Additional Fermentation:

Grain Bill:

1/2 lb Chocolate Malt
1/2 lb Black Patent Malt

4 lb John Bull Brown Ale Kit
3 lb Munton & Fison Dry Amber Malt

Hop Bill:

1 oz Northern Brewer (Boiling)
1 oz Tettnanger (Aroma)

2 tsp Gypsum
1/2 tsp Irish Moss

Mash Schedule:

Brewers Notes:

Bring water, Choc and BP Malts to boil. Boil for 3-5 min
Strain out grains
Add Gypsum, malt extracts and 2/3 oz NB hops. Boil 30 min
Add final 1/3 oz NB hops. Boil 15 min
Add 1/2 tsp Irish Moss. Boil 15 min
Add 1oz Tettnanger hops. Boil 2 min.
Sparge. Add cold water to bring to 5 gallons.
Rehydrate yeast & pitch at 75F.
