Not Aussie but my best tasting beer to date.
Ingredients:
1 can of Black Rock (NZ) East India Pale Ale
600g light Malt Extract
200g Cracked Cystal Grain
400g Glucose
200g Dried Corn Syrup
25g Goldings Hop Pellets.
Method:
Bring grain to boil in 1 litre of water and simmer for 20mins. In a large pot combine the can, light
malt extract, glucose and Dried corn syrup with 4 litres of water. Bring to boil and add hop pellets,
turn heat off and let stand for 10 mins. Strain grain liquid into pot washing remaining grain with
hot water. Pour into fermenter and add cold water to the 2 litre mark, add yeast when temp below
30.
Will take 4 weeks before ready to try. Not as bitter as original East India Pale Ales but very
pleasant and easy to make.
