Yeast: Wyeast 1056 American Ale
Yeast Starter: 1/3 wort; 2/3 water
Batch Size: 5 US gal

Primary Fermentation: 4-5 days 60-70 deg F
Secondary Fermentation: 2 weeks 60-70-deg F

Grain Bill:

8 lbs Alexander's Pale Malt Extract
1 cup honey (optional)

2 lbs. 50L Crystal
0.75 Carapils

Hop Bill:

2 oz. Northern Brewer (Boil-60 min)
1 oz. Cascade (last 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (last 5 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (dry hop in secondary

Mash Schedule:

Steep grains 45 min @ 180 deg F

Add extract and hops according to schedule for a total boil time of 1 hour

Brewers Notes:

For an additional flavor, use 1 cup honey for priming before bottling.

This is a stronger hopped up version of an American Ale recipe and is my favorite. Enjoy!
