Primary Fermentation: 12 days 75 degrees

Grain Bill:

1/2# 2 row malt
1/4# Special B.
7 lbs light Extract
1 lbs amber extract

Hop Bill:

First
1/2oz Chinook 10.7AAU
1/2oz Challenger 8.2AAU

Second
3/4oz Hallertaur ?

At cooldown
2 Tablespoon charcoal from Burningman 2002 or any other charcoal from a fire

At botting
1/4cup more charcoal from Burningman 2002 in the bottling bucket

Mash Schedule:

Add grains in tea bag to 6 gallons Cold water heat to 160 tea grains for 15 minutes after 160. Add extract. Add First hops Boil for 60 minutes. Add second hops for 5 minutes.
Remove heat. Add ground charcoal. Cooldown.

Add wort to 3 generation Abbey yeast in carboy. Alway better after 2nd generation.

Brewers Notes:

During bottling add 1/4cup of ground up charcoal to the bottling bucket. Then bottle.

Started drinking it at Burningman 2003 less than 10 days after bottling.

I loved this beer!! The wife of the guy that showed me brewing said that this was the best home brew she ever had. That's say a lot.
