All the rooms, per se are now taken and deposits made on them. Having said that, there are empty futons and bunks in virtually all of the cabins. If you check with the various leaseholders, it shouldn't be too hard to find a place to stay. Alternatively, there is plenty of camping space and RV parking.

Define safe. The nearest motels are about three or four miles away in Iron River. However in my view, this should be a last resort; I would not like to see any OWI's in Wisconsin. (A BAD Place to be picked up drunk behind the wheel) If you have a designated driver, I recommend The Lumbermen's Inn and restaurant in Iron River Their phone number is 715-372-4515. Cheaper is the Red Motel also in Iron River 715-372-8770. The Lumberman's Inn is very nice, Best Western class. The Red Motel, I know nothing about.
