: Strange-you knew I was going to ask this. How do the owners feel about bikes on the trails? Are there trails?

The tri-county corridor is a trail built on an old railroad grade that is open for snowmobiles ATVs hiking and biking. It runs just past the campground and extends from Superior to Ashland. Iron River is just about mid-way through the course. The trail is graded and covered with crushed limestone. It can get kinda dusty if it hasn't rained recently, but stays in good shape following rain.
For full information about the tri-county corridor contact Bayfield County Tourism and Recreation at 1800-472-6338 or vist their on-line site at www.travelbayfieldcounty.com There are also a bazillion National Forest roads winding through the woods. I can provide you with a good map, otherwise we may never see you again. Also contact these folks for more insight into biking opportunites BAY CITY CYCLES 715-682-2091 BODINS ON THE LAKE 715-682-6441 TREK AND TRAIL 715-779-3595. Down by Hayward, the Seeley bike trails have an international reputation. This area is the home of the Fat Tire Festival and the Fire House 50, so there is considerable interest about biking in the area both road and off-road. If you are interested in driving a bit down to the Hayward area, the place for information is NEW MOON SKI AND BIKE SHOP at 715-634-8685

As far as "how the owners feel" about using the trail, ask yourself. Most of it is on National Forest land. You, as a U.S. Taxpayer are one of the owners.

Hope this Helps!

Strange
