: How are the Skeeters and Chiggers up by you Strange?

:
: By late August there are generally few mosquitos. However we will be next to a lake and there are bound to be some wherever there is a standing body of water. just how bad they are depends on the weather. We always get more a few days after a soaking rain., That's why there are less in August. Because there is less rain then than in July and August. Wet weather can also bring out biting flies, but they are generally done with by August as well.

: On the UPSIDE!

: We have very few if any chiggers. I have NEVER been eaten alive by them the way I was in New Hampshire. I sure developed a new respect for the lil bastards there. August is also LONG Past tick season. You may encounter hornets which were a annoying last summer. But they are minor. Generally, wear DEET and you should be doing good.

: In conclusion, bugs should be a minor issue... BUT Bring the bug dope to be safe.
